See, life sucks. So instead of dealing with the root issues here, I deal with the symptoms. By overloading myself with work. Which, actually, my father suggested as an alternative. My family's issues seem to be a little bit more than skin deep.

Anywho, busy, busy, busy. I was just in New Glarus, Wisconsin for two days. It's a small town (probably no more than a thousand people) about 25 minutes past Madison. It's also basically Switzerland. It was a very interesting, to say the least– I had the opportunity to participate in their Wilhem Tell play, which only two towns in the world still actually perform. I was a peasant. I also can now name the three original cantons of Switzerland and tell you how Switzerland became an independent nation. There is no internet (that I saw or could hack) in New Glarus. Gah.

Now, I'm applying to be an intern for Al Franken's senatorial run. I'm working for him today, too, so we'll see. Everyone in a five mile internet radius will hear if I get it, so while I would say keep your ears open, you might want to close them. You'll still get the news. ADDITIONALLY, I might get to go to Presidential Inauguration. How awesome would that be? Answer me on a scale from sparrow (low) to velociraptor (high).

Finally, my seven classes. I have AP Euro, Mandarin 3, Physics, Pre-Calculus, Advanced Debate, AP Spanish Lit, and AP English. So we'll see. I've been swamped some days so far, but others have been light. I had to make a decision whether to go to Homecoming or Valley (debate tournament in Iowa), though. I chose Homecoming on the advice of my sister. Right choice y/n?
